Pride Parade

July 01, 2018

Hello lovelies,

the 23rd pride parade, also called Regenbogenparade in German (Rainbow parade), was held on the 16th of June in Vienna. The weather had been really hot the last couple of days but was quite decent on that day. My friends and I met at 1.30 at Rathausplatz and we could secure ourselves amazingly good places to stand and watch the parade from there. The parade started at 2pm and they were really on time too.
The last years the parade was not that big and only a few trucks rolled down the streets but this time we almost waited until half past 4pm for all the trucks to roll by. That was amazing, there were so many different trucks and people marching from shops, companies and organisations.

Group selfie! We are really a bunch of different genders and sexuality and it's wonderful.

And here are some impressions of various groups:

And here are some more selfies:

After the parade passed by a few of my friends and I went to a cafe and ate a late lunch.
I got a crispy chicken burger with fries, the burger was crisply but the fries were bought in and the burger was a bit bland. :(

But the blueberry cheesecake was alright.

Before we went home from the parade, we made some pictures of my outfit.
I wore my swankiss dress with my new sailor moon luna bag.

Too bad my buttons were not really visible, I had a "love is unstoppable", "first-class lesbian", "Blau-Schwarz (our conservative and nazi coalition political group which are currently in power in Austria, booh!), Sashay away" button.

I had a lot of fun and I look forward to the next parade!

All the best,

Auris Lothol
