Hello lovelies,
as mentioned before in the "A week in Czesky Krumlov post" here is the separate post for the lace museum in Prachatice in the southern of Czechia.
The museum is open to visitors from May 1st to September 30th but will also have days in between were they are closed (which happened to us).
Their opening times from the website is as follows:
May – September:
Tuesday – Sunday: 10:00 – 17:00
July, August:
usually open on Mondays
Admission is 60 CZK or about 2,50€
The museum is in a pink house with white-trimmed windows. Above the door is a small decorative stone plaque showing two bobbins, and to the left is another plaque that says:
"House of two Bobbins, dedicated to all bobbin lace makers around the world past, present and future."
We had to wait a while to enter as the doors were closed but after a while an old man showed up and let us in. The room was medium sized and on the left side it was a small shop where you could buy threads, bobbins, bobbin lace jewellery and so much more. We paid the admission and I asked if I was allowed to take pictures and the man agreed but asked me to only take pictures of my favourite pieces. There was a staircase leading to the exhibition and it was just a long room filled with lace, lace making supplies and traditional costumes.
I won't share with you the picture I have already showed you can look it up in the former mentioned post.
So here they are, enjoy!
