Small pouch with ribbon stitching

October 10, 2016

Hello lovelies,

when the days grow colder I always get the urge to embroider, crochet or knit. I like to hang out in front of the TV, watch some series, cuddle my cats and at the same time be productive.

This year I started with doing some ribbon stitching again.
I used this technique to embroider my whole Anri cosplay two years ago.
The book I used was bought in Japan and therefore I have no idea what the title of the book is.
I used the smallest hoop I had and embroidered everything on a patch of cotton.

I started out with the tracing of the pattern with pencil. I still don't have an embroidery pen. Yet.
There are only four colours I used, pink, lavender, yellow and green. The star shaped stitches are the basics for these flowers.

My ribbons were larger than in the instructions described. Because of that I changed some of the parts or left them out.

I am so sorry for the quality. Again, I was doing most of the work during the night and my light is still not good, actually it is far from good. And I am only doing the pictures with my phone camera, which is also not the best.
But it came out nicely with the green leaves The green ribbon is the only high-quality ribbon I used in this. All the other ribbons were about 1€ for 10 meter and the green ribbon was 0,60€ for 1 meter. But to be honest, for this small leaves, it didn't make a difference.

This was the finished product. And to be honest, except for the weird looking leaves on the top right part, I like it. Plus it looks like a heart too, I am really proud.

And this is what I did today, I made a little pouch out of it. I plan to put in lavender to keep away moths and to store it in one of my wardrobes.

Time needed: I made this over the span of 5 days
Satisfaction 4/5

All the best,

Aurîs Lothol
