    Hello lovelies,

I always had a dust mite allergy and every morning I would wake up and sneeze. It gradually grew worse and then suddenly, a few years ago I also had to sneeze when I was out of the house. It turned out I also developed an allergy to grass, pollen and birch. Fantastic.
My use of tissues got out of hand and usually I go through a pack in a few days. Sustainable? Not really. But what to do? I need tissues.
I remembered that my grandparents used fabric tissues and actually before the paper tissue industry everybody used fabric tissues. If I could just make myself a few or buy some, I could stop buying paper tissues and maybe help the environment a bit. And because I would need a fancy tissue, why not also add some lace? Usually that is only optional but this is the best way to look fancy and let's be honest, sneezing into a lace tissue while wearing your fancy lolita outfit just looks better than the plain old paper tissue.

I have a wonderful lace crocheting book from Japan and followed the instructions with a few alterations.

It also didn't really take me long, I sat in a Cafe around the corner and crocheted away with good cake and coffee.

After I finished the lace I pinned it to a cork board.

I then realized that this tissue will be a very tiny one as I measured out the sides (which were about 14cm). I cut out some linen from my leftover stash and inserted it. Or rather pinned the lace over it.

In the last step I hand sewed the lace onto the tissue with a whip stitch so that it will also keep the fabric from fraying on the backside.

And that was it. It didn't even take me a full day to do this and I am very proud of my tiny tissue, even though M. made fun of it's size.

    All the best,

    Auris Lothol

    Hello lovelies,

Winter is crochet time for me. I don't know why I like it so much in Winter but almost never crochet in summer.
Last Saturday Matthias started to crochet a few hats for his ball jointed dolls and my fingers got itchy for that hook too.
And I still have a lot of crochet pattern at home and immediately started a new project. Not that I have a buttload of projects still waiting in my sewing room. Nooo, not at all.
In about 20h~ from Saturday to Thursday, although most of the work was done on Sunday, I finished a collar.

It is a bit asymmetrical on one side because I used a hook which was too big for the yarn and therefore had to take less loops. In the end, I misscalculated and I had to cheat a bit. But all in all I like my project very much.

The back definitely looks better than the front!

The imperfection is on the left side.

Oh well, it still looks good!

    Have a nice day,

    Aurîs☆

    Hey lovelies,

I still don't have any new projects nor do I have the feeling of ever finishing one of my old ones. Partly due to the excessive amount of university and work. But I still find time to go shopping....

Matthias is always carrying my bags...!

The shopping tour was actually not planned. I had planned to go to the Stock sale of Goldstück, which I did, and to buy something there, which I didn't. I fell in love with this dress in the picture, and it did fit me but it was too long...It was past my knees and with these dresses, I always look smaller than I am. Mehh...
    Looook, isn't it nice?

After that I met Matthias and we went to our favourite Vietnamese Restaurant "Pho Cho Lon" in Vienna.

It was so much, I couldn't eat up and I can eat a loooot of food.

Afterwards I went to meet my friend T, who works at Tiger, a brand new shop in Vienna. The store has a lot of items, even though the shop was not that big. And the prices were fantastic.

It's located at the Ubahnstation Keplerplatz, just at the exit.

And the shop has everything, reading glasses, socks, paper tissues, tape, a mona lisa portrait, tiaras, spices, drinks, accessories, and so on.

    This is what I bought:
The chocolate milk was only 1€!

    All in all...I loved it!

I also got to go to Orsay and I bought a new Bolero...

    I love the butterfly trimming!

After that, Matthias and I went to the pure living bakery. One of my favourite cafés in Vienna.
Aren't we super cute? I mean, look at my eyelashes!!! XD

I got the chocolate-cherry cake and matthias got the cream and chocolate...I brownie was hiding underneath!

Silly picture with a moustache! Very manly Matthias

The pure living bakery has great cakes, pies, cookies, brownies and in summer even ice-cream. If you go there in summer, try the american styled ice-cream. It's heavenly. As for drinks, I liked my chai vanilla with almond milk but they don't sell almond milk anymore because it was too sweet. Puuuuh. I liked my diabetes in the glass. The furniture is a mix of vintage and shabby chic. I really like to sit there and study or meet friends.

This is the summary of my life. No srsly. I once worked in an ice-cream shop and I could live off ice-cream...!

Afterwards, yes the day continues, we went to the christmas market which was right around the corner at Spittelberg. This is one of my favourite markets too, because it is not as kitschy as at Rathausplatz. It is also the most expensive christmas market and a tourist overload. So go to Spittelberg! It's goood!
We drank a delicious apple-cinnamon punch (3,2€ per glass plus 2€ deposit).

Matthias then went home and I met Tanja and Michi again and we went to the same christmas market. We ate a big, hot potato with corn, ham and cheese and a yogurt sauce (For 5€). It was very good but we had to wait 20min for the potatoes...

Tanja and me at the market. My bangs never do what I want...

After coming home I decided to quit my crochet project because I didn't like how it looked. But I really wanted to have that collar so I decided to start again, but with a hook that was 0,5 smaller than the other one. I know I am crazy...but look at the different sizes I have..
    I have 1,00/1,50/2,00/2,50/3,00/7,00
I started the first one with a 1,50 and then gave up. Then crocheting with a 1,00 was so much better.

You can really see the pattern now!

I really hope to finish soon but I have an exam tomorrow plus another one next Friday and I can't really think about crocheting now. Ugh. Wish me luck for my exams!

Yesterday I got a package from Hosi, the Homosexual Initiative in Austria because I decided to become a member. It was full with stickers and brochures and informations. That was so nice! I even
    got a rainbow pin, hooray!
My favourite stickers says (in German): Your therapist or psychologists can help stop your Homophobia.
Although I'd love a sticker with: It's not Homophobia because you are not afraid of Homosexuals. You are an Idiot.

Only 37 days until Japan!!! So excited!

    Hello lovelies,

I am not dead yet. University started and kept me quite busy. I still have to work regularly three times a week too so no real sewing projects are on
    .
The only thing I did to keep my mind and fingers busy was a kind of morikei styled collar.

The cut out collar with two corcheted flowers and a heart.

Everything sewn together, cut in the edges and turned around.

I added a closing and pinned on the flowers. There will still be stuff added because it's so plain but I kind of lost the motivation for that...? I'll add some more flowers and lace when my muse kisses me again but for the moment, she is in a deep winter sleep already...
The collar is also a bit very white and I played with the thought of pouring black tea over it to get a nice brownish-faded tone but...well, it's only a thought. :)

    Hello lovelies,

this year I started to crochet very early. Usually I start in November but I think, that crocheting is much more relaxing for me than 2h gym. And I did both yesterday...

More than a year ago I made a huge order from Nehelenia pattern and I really did want to sew a lot this summer but I simply couldn't. My workspace in this flat is only about 50cmx50cm which is not enough to draw nor cut out huge patterns. Yesterday I browsed through my pattern collection again because I wanted to order something from Nehelenia patterns again, and I stumbled over a 1920s intimacies pattern.
    Front

    Back

I decided to do the slip dress but then I found the cutest lace tutorial and decided to do a pre-mock-up with the materials I had at home..

This is the finished pattern. You can faintly see that it's actually a rose. But with my sewing needle and the wrong thread it doesn't look that good. So I guess on Tuesday I will go and get the correct needle (0,8 or 1mm) and the right thread (size 20).
I also, once again, found out that I am much better in reading the sketches than in written down instructions Eg (ch2, sk sp, DC)4 times.....--> wth..

    Have a nice week,

I'll be in Hannover this weekend and go to Nicon with a German friend. Hooray.

    Hello lovelies,

I will be in Prague from tomorrow until next Monday. I haven't been there in years and really look forward to it. I don't know yet, if I bring along my small laptop and update the pictures immediately.
Today I have to pack and I hope I can bring a lot of cute clothes, even though one will not see them because it's so cold and I will always wear my coat...

I started crocheting again, as always when it get's colder, but due to the lack of time, I could just finish about 1m of lace.
    Look at this cutie:
It's my own design and I like it very much. But I'll probably not use a double crochet anymore because they are a tiny bit too tall.

And this is what I woke up to Monday in the morning...My flatmate got this box from me while I was still sleeping (and didn't even hear the bell ringing...). It's my order from Buyee, yey! And even without taxes. My day was saved!
The last time, all the parcels were unpacked. I was a bit surprised to see them still in their postal form.

Jesus Diamante Bag. And I think the fur is real? Is that possible?

Close-up of my bonnet. I have a new bonnet and it's from Baby the stars shine bright (btssb). yey yey yey! And Simon says I look like a small child.

Another Jesus Diamante dress (my third *_*) and matching shoes. Fur again? I think? Or really good fake fur. I don't think you can see it properly on the last picture but the velvet is glittering.

Another black dress, from La Pafait. It has so cute bottons. The only problem is, that I forgot to check the size and it's too small for me. OTL. The good thing is, I can wear it open too |D!

Last of the batch for me is this book bag. The only problem is the size. I don't think I can fit my huge purse into it. But for Lolita coords it will be very perfect. Or with my new JD dress.

Simon also ordered with me and he bought a buch of Tiger and Bunny coinfigures and a cosplay.
It's the first time we ordered a cosplay via Buyee, but it was so easy, maybe we'll do that again.

Finally finished with the first batch. Now off to the next.
My sister got a friend who regularly buys her clothes in Japan. She made a little closet cleaning and my sister gathered a few items for me to wear: And they are so cute. Or fluffy..

Those two and the skirt are my favourite from the batch. I love the rose motiv on the Liz Lisa pullover!

The next entry will probably be a travel entry. Have a nice weekend everyone!
