Hello lovelies, 

It's almost the finale of the Japan saga, almost 16 months after we have been to the country. I apologize for the delay, there is just so much going on. 

Day 15

We had another tour planned, this time we were going to see Mt. Fuji. It was actually planned to start at the base camp but because it had snowed, we were not allowed to go. Instead, we got to see a shrine which is just were the trail to mt fuji starts. 

The place was beautiful. The trees and the temple felt old and the air smelled fresh. The whole place was magical. 

 

The temperatures were lower than in Tokyo and it was great that I brought my jacket. 

 

Afterwards we were driven to Oshino Hakkai: Eight world heritage ponds, that also had a good view to mount fuji. Compared to the quiet shrine, there were so many other loud tourists there. 

 

We went around the pond and Hias got himself a roasted sweet potato, which smelled really good. 

The daffodils were already in bloom but we were unlucky and didn't see Mt. Fuji at all, there was always a cloud hiding her.  

It was finally time for lunch and we got soup and veggies. We were allowed to something on our own and we went to the large pond and were almost able to the see the mountain. It was hot in the sun but icy in the shade. 

Around two o'clock we were dropped off at the Gotemba premium outlets. No idea why, but  it was part of the tour. We wandered around but nothing really caught our eyes, until we came to the Vivienne Westwood shop were Hias bought a Jacket and an orb. At MAC cosmetics I got a C³ serum that was on sale and that was all the shopping for the day.

We were tired when we arrived back to Tokyo and went back to the hotel, just having snacks at the hotel for dinner. 

Day 16  

It was finally a me-day and I was alone and could  finally do what I wanted to do. And that was craft shopping at Okadaya. I spent about 2hours in the shop, wandering from level to level and being awestruck. They had so many amazing cosplay items that I would not get in Austria and I hate importing it because of the taxes. 

After that shopping, I mostly got beads, I went to Takeshita dori again because I really wanted to check out Closet child again.

It was kind of empty and as in, not many locals but a lot of annoying and loud tourists group. 

But Closet child was closed until 4pm and I was there around 3pm. I went to the next coffeeshop where I could sit, coincidentally, a Starbucks which I usually avoid and got a drink and a matcha. Both were...fine but not the best quality. 

I ate a potato on a stick and it was not really good, it was super salty and the potato was too oily. I wandered into the small streets of Harajuku and founds some amazing second hand items there. 

When it was almost 4pm, I stood in queue with two other women in front of closet child until they opened. I browsed through the items and was a bit shocked because closet child was always so cheap and now there were...not cheap anymore. And then I ran into owners of fluffy tori and lollipop lullaby, who entered the store a few minutes after I did. I got some items and then wandered to Noemi and bought even more.

In the evening I met my friends and we went to Nabezo hot pot which was an all you can eat for about 4500€. I ate almost all the meat as Hias was vegan and my friend had a medical condition that prohibited her from eating a lot of fatty things.

Day 17

Yesterday we ate so much pork and this day we spent all morning petting small piglets. The irony. 

 

But the mi-cafe was super cute and also the pigs were cuddly. I had not touched a pig before and was a bit weirded out by their hard bristles? In my mind pigs had soft bristles. 

 

We had booked for an hour but 30mins would have been enough too. It was raining again and we just stayed in the Ikebukuro sunshine city and just wandered around again but decided to take our separate ways. I was happy about that because my companion bru was annoying and I regretted taking her along on our trip. 

Afterwards I travelled to Shibuya and wanted to find the Jesus Diamante store but couldn't find it as it was closed long time ago. Great. 

 

Then I went to Shinjuku and visit the last closet child which I had not been to yet. They moved and I was a bit confused because I couldn't find it, even with google maps. But then, I finally did. It was small but had a great  selection of cheap axes femme dresses which I love to wear for work as they are quite simple but comfy. 

I also visited the donki in Ikebukuro again to get the my melody shoes I saw at the beginning of the trip.

In the evening I met up with Hias again and we had a small dinner at the hotel. He gifted me a few sailor moon items he found when he was at the anime shops like k-mart.
