Tokyo Day 18-19
October 17, 2025Hello lovelies,
and welcome back to my last days of my Japan trip 2024. It's been more than I year since I returned but I am very happy I managed to push through and post all of it, not like my interrail 2022 where I stopped halfway through lol. But let's get into it.
Day 18
Disneyland! Disneyland! Disneyland!
I am a Disney adult...at least I would be if the next weren't in Paris. Going to Paris is a 12h train ride . Plus, they will get rid of the night train from Vienna to Paris which is absolutely preposterous.
We used the app to check the times and also use a free fast pass but it didn't help as there were so many people with us in the park. It was not as bad as in the universal studios but it was still packed.
We were there at the start of the day and had to wait in line a bit.
When the doors open it was another 5-10 minutes but we were in. Then we ran to the first ride, the haunted mansion, my favourite! It was closed last time I was there and I was super sad about that.Of course we ate and snacked throughout the whole day. For Disneyfood it was so cheap!
I was lucky and found a disney duck! And we had some more food. I can't remember if I liked it but I think they were mostly okayish-mid.
My ice-cream churro and me before splash mountain.
And then during splash mountain. I was trying so hard but those drops are just uncomfortable.
The aftermath of splash mountain. My bangs were a mess. There were so many popcorn booths and every booth had a special disney box and I went for this beauty and the beast box, plus, they had matcha white chocolate popcorn. How could I not?I bought myself Marie ears!
It was thursday and late but I still managed to get my thursday burger in. hehe. I was very proud of this. It was already quite late and I was tired but that baymax burger just reenergized me. We queued for one last ride - the monster inc ride. You had to use a flashcam to "find" the monster and it was a lot of fun. Too short, as always though. And our ride back, it was dark, we were tired but we had an amazing day.
And we were even blessed with a cat that lived near the hotel.
And here is my haul of the day. I got a donald towel, a beauty and the beast box only for asthetics, two pairs of ears - the burger ears are hias' and marie clip on ears.Day 19
Hias was going to Moomin land with a friend and I went to Harajuku again with the others to meet another friend who went to Japan to live there. Bru went somewhere else entirely.
I had a lot of fun going around with them and saw places that were completely new. And I finally had my crepes again. Yummy chocolate and strawberries!
We went shopping and here we are at ACDC Rag in Harajuku. My friend bought a complete tenshi kawaii set.
Then I got these sugared strawberries and they were so weird! The sugar was so shiny and once you bit into the strawberries, for a short time, it felt like biting into glass. It was...an experience.
Then we went to la foret and I was finally a victim in the sailor moon popup shop and got this special limited edition powder box, a heart deco box and two rings.
And I got luna, Artemis, Serenity and Michiru at the Gachapon but coulnd't get Haruka. So I set up my friend to it, as she wanted to come back when we were gone again, to get it. And in the end, she did! So I have this wonderful set of figures.
We walked and walked and walked but couldn't find a free space.
In the end, we found a bench near the waters of a lake and just sat down there. I already saw us falling into the water drunk, but none did. That was great. And now, get ready for a cherry blossom spam. Because I took so many pictures.
We left around 11pm and decided to go Karaoke near Ikebukuro. I heard the funniest rendition of "oh Maria" from Sister act by J and S. My friends were both leaning into it and were very dramatic, it was amazing.
But then, it was time to leave. Around 1.30am we were at the hotel and ready to leave by 9am.
We ate lunch at the airport and then took the plane home. What a holiday. I miss Japan again. But my next trip will be 2029.
